Question:
When fixing an overprojected nose, is a chin implant always used?
Answer:
A chin implant is only used when the chin itself is too small. Certainly a small chin can make an over-projected nose look even larger and enlarging the chin can make a nose look smaller, but it is inappropriate to enlarge a normal sized chin in order to make the nose look smaller. The chin has other relationships that will be affected and the nose should be made smaller to match the rest of the face as well.
