Does microdermabrasion stimulate the skin?

Filed under: Microdermabrasion — admin @ 11:20 am

Question:
Does microdermabrasion stimulate the skin to become more elastic and younger looking? Or is it just removing the outer layer of skin for a temporary change in appearance?

Answer:
The answer to your question has not been answered scientifically and probably never will be. Microdermabrasion only removes the outer dead layer of skin, which results in a temporary improvement, but the procedure is usually combined with the use of topical skin care products which penetrate more efficiently after the procedure and can improve collagen thickness and elasticity.
