Rhinoplasty digital imaging

Wendy,

During our rhinoplasty consultations we take digital images of our patient and then import them into a program which allows us to alter those images in order to reflect the changes the patient desires.  We attempt to generate a reasonable outcome based upon the patient expectations.  The imaging program for rhinoplasty isn’t perfect, but it is a great communication tool and allows an open dialogue between myself and the patient as to what can and can’t be achieved.  Please feel free to give us a call if we can be of any further assistance and please take some time to review our before and after gallery of our rhinoplasty patients.

Nose (Rhinoplasty/Nose Shaping)

A beautiful nose is often overlooked, but an unattractive nose frequently draws unwanted attention.  Because the nose is the most defining characteristic of the face, a slight alteration can greatly improve one’s appearance. The ideal goal in rhinoplasty is to improve the nose aesthetically making it harmonize with the other facial features. This way the nose will blend with the face rather than be the dominant or obvious feature.  The reshaped nose will then shift attention away from itself and toward the natural sparkle of one’s eyes.  Superior rhinoplasty entails matching the nose to the patient’s individual facial features and proportions along with the patient’s desired look.  Refinement rhinoplasty involves judicious use of techniques that provide a more defined nasal tip and a straight and supported nasal bridge, all the while maintaining the nasal airway.  Conservative measures, as opposed to overzealous resection, and selective techniques tailored to the patient, are critical elements to successful nasal surgery.  The patient’s overall looks are not changed drastically, but improved to bring out their natural beauty, without distraction.

Dr. Buckingham has extensive experience in nasal surgery and will use a graduated approach to address each individual case from the purely cosmetic procedure requiring tip refinement and dorsal adjustment to cases requiring significant straightening and complete reconstruction of the nasal anatomy to improve appearance as well as function.

To determine if a patient is a good candidate for this procedure, Dr. Buckingham recommends a private patient consultation at which time digital imaging software will be utilized to communicate the desired improvements.

Dr. Buckingham feels that successful facial plastic surgery results from the development and maintenance of good rapport between the patient, the surgeon, and his staff during the consultation and future appointments.  The consultation will include a complete facial analysis to determine the best procedure to bring about the desired results and all questions relating to the patient’s specific concerns will be addressed.

Prospective patients are encouraged to call the office to schedule an appointment at their earliest convenience.
