Frownlines

Frown lines are the product of overactive muscles and/or skin laxity. Treatment options depend on the cause and severity of the furrows and should be individually tailored to the patient's condition. In some patients, Botox therapy is sufficient to soften the scowling appearance of the overactive brow muscle. Also, younger patients are increasingly seeking this minimally invasive therapy to rejuvenate their look or to prevent aging. Deeper wrinkles may require injectable soft tissue fillers, such as Restylane or Radiesse in order to achieve the best cosmetic outcome. Other patients who have significant brow droop may be better served by brow-lift surgery. Dr. Buckingham has employed a combination of methods when suitable to correct the complex nature of frown lines.
