This 68-year-old male presented to our clinic with concerns about the appearance of his upper and lower eyelids. On examination, it was noted that he had excess skin of his upper eyelids, excess laxity in the tendon that supports the lower eyelid causing the lower eyelid to droop and festoons under his eyes, left worse than right. Festoons refer to a condition where the skin on the top of the cheek gets swollen and can drape down.
To address his concerns, an upper eyelid blepharoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, and direct excision of festoons was discussed. The before and after photos demonstrate his incredible result. Take note of how well the area of the festoons has healed and the much more open and rejuvenated appearance of his eyes.
