Question:
I’ve always had something of a receding chin but I also think I’ve gotten a bit jowly as I’ve gotten older. Can a chin implant help both of these problems?
Answer:
A chin implant can help the appearance of jowling both by extending the length of the jaw and also by filling in the sulcus in front of the jowl. Evaluation would be necessary to determine the degree of jowling was due to true tissue descent versus the pre-jowl sulcus.
