Question:
What are the circumstances in which insurance covers rhinoplasty surgery?
Answer:
Insurance will cover rhinoplasty for functional breathing concerns or to restore the nose following trauma in some cases. Insurance will usually cover a deviated septum if it is accompanied by nasal obstruction and insurance will cover restoring a deviated nose to its pre-injury state. Insurance will not cover hump reduction, changing the size of the nose, or tip refinement.
