Question:
I’m interested in getting a facelift but I’ve been using Restylane and Botox for about six months now. Will the injectables interfere with the surgery and do I need to wait until their effects wear off?
Answer:
Restylane and Botox will not interfere with a facelift. In fact, the often times will compliment the result. There is no need to wait for them to wear off and often some of the areas treated with Restylane will need to continue to be treated to optimize the results of the lift. These include the corners of the mouth and the perioral lip lines which will not be affected by the lift. Usually the areas treated with Botox will also need to be continued.
