Question:
I’ve heard of laser blepharoplasty. How exactly is the laser used for this procedure?
Answer:
Laser blepharoplasty can be used to describe different procedures using a laser to treat the lower eyelid. The laser is used for skin resurfacing as one technique. Some physicians utilize a laser to cut the skin either externally or inside the eyelid. We prefer not to use the laser as a cutting tool as it causes tissue destruction and we feel slows the healing process.
