Question:
I’ve heard Botox only lasts 3 or 4 months. Do the results last any longer after you’ve been receiving them for a while?
Answer:
3 to 4 months is the standard duration for botulinum toxin. A certain percentage of patients will experience longer results with continued use. The most common muscle group that seems to exhibit this type of response is the corrugator muscle that produces the frown lines between the eyes. The orbicularis muscle that produces smile lines and the frontalis muscle that produces forehead lines tend to exhibit increased longevity less often.
