Question:
I have a turned up nose that I’d like to get a rhinoplasty. What is done during the surgery to make it so that it doesn’t turn up anymore?
Answer:
What you are describing is an over-rotated nose. Over-rotation also means that the dorsum is usually short. The procedure to de-rotate the nose is performed by adding cartilage grafts along the dorsum and septum to lengthen the dorsum and force the tip into a less rotated position.
