Question:
I’m an allergy sufferer, so I’m always really careful about what I put in my body. I heard that no allergy testing is required before using the facial filler Restylane Lyft. While that sounds great, I have to wonder if the substance has never caused a reaction, or just very few people experience one. Have there ever been recorded allergic reactions to Restylane Lyft?
Answer:
There have been recorded reactions to Restylane Lyft, but they are very rare and are mild. Restylane Lyft is made of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural molecule in your joints and skin. Therefore you are really not adding a foreign substance. With that in mind however, some rare reports exist of mild sensitivity which causes some mild redness. To my knowledge there has never been a life threatening allergic reaction to Restylane Lyft.
