Question:
I’ve been told by a doctor that I have thick nasal skin. How will this impact my rhinoplasty surgery?
Answer:
Thick nasal skin impacts the degree of refinement that can be achieved in the nasal tip primarily. A person with thick skin cannot expect to achieve as much improvement in narrowing the tip or creating sharp defining points. This doesn’t mean that a rhinoplasty cannot achieve excellent results, but expectations must be set prior to surgery and limitations do exist.
