Question:
How many injections are usually involved in a facial fat transfer procedure?
Answer:
Describing a fat transfer by the number of injections is not particularly useful. The procedure is performed by making small entry sites on the areas of the face which require transfer and at the most involves four entry sites per side. A more useful method to describe fat transfer is the deposit of total volume of fat transferred. Depending upon the needs of the patient, this could vary from as little as 10 cc per side to as much as 30.
