Question:
How often do you perform eyelid surgery in conjunction with a browlift? What are the benefits?
Answer:
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is commonly performed in conjunction with brow lift. Brow lift is performed when the hair-bearing eyebrow and the thick skin surrounding it has undergone decent. Overall I would say this occurs in 20% of patients. Oftentimes, the brow has only lost volume and volume replacement will restore its beautiful appearance. Most often a blepharoplasty alone can be performed with or without volume restoration. When a browlift is beneficial an endoscopic brow lift is usually performed.
