Question:
I am a 46 year old African American woman. I am looking into having a brow lift to help smooth out my forehead wrinkles and give me a more youthful appearance. Can you tell me what the pros and cons are of using endotines with a brow lift? I have read mixed reviews from patients online, so I’d like to get more information from an expert.
Answer:
Endotines are a perfectly acceptable fixation device for a brow lift. The downsides to their use are the cost and that they can be felt under the skin for a period of time. I do not use them because I prefer to use a suture suspension to a bone tunnel that I drill. It is a very effective method to raise the brow and it does not add unnecessary cost.
