Question:
I am researching nose jobs to find out how they are done. Is there much variation between surgeons on the type of anesthesia used?
Answer:
There is an infinite number of options on how to perform a rhinoplasty. 5 different surgeons will likely perform a different variation of the operation on the same patient. The most important item is not how the operation is performed, but what result is obtained. The anesthesia type varies as well. Both types of anesthesia (IV or General) are safe. Again, it doesn’t really matter. The important thing is to pick a surgeon who performs rhinoplasties regularly and achieves good results consistently.
