I feel as if a facelift is a last resort procedure. If I am a woman in her late fifties with wrinkles and excessive facial sagging, are there any other options for me?
There are certainly other options for you to treat your facial aging. Most likely the use of volume enhancing agents such as facial fillers or fat or laser/chemical skin resurfacing can improve your appearance. I would disagree however that a facelift is a last resort procedure. There are many different types of facelifts and many of them are minimally invasive and can be performed in the office with minimal anesthesia and recovery time. I would suggest a consultation to determine what your concerns are, suggest possible therapies to address those concerns and then discuss risks and recovery in order to determine the best procedure(s) for you.
