I am 55 years old and have some spider veins on my face. I saw that sclerotherapy was an option. Is this done in the face? Does each vein have to be injected more than once to get the desired results?
Sclerotherapy is not used in the face to my knowledge. Sclerotherapy is usually used on the lower extremities with larger vessels. Spider veins on the face respond very well to vascular lasers. There are a variety of lasers that may be used and a consultation with a physician experienced in this will determine which is the right option for each patient.
