Question:
I like the idea of using my own fat from one part of my body to fill out another part. Can I choose where I have the fat removed? I have very large breasts and would like fat transferred from my breasts to my cheeks, which are pretty flat.
Answer:
It is possible to select the place to transfer fat from, but not the breast. The breast is made of fat and glandular tissue and so liposuction is not an appropriate treatment for this area. Fat can be harvested from different locations on the trunk or lower extremity.
