High-pressure liposuction and liposuction performed with lasers or automated shavers ruptures many more fat cells than the harvesting techniques used for fat transfer. Harvesting fat for fat transfer involves using very gentle suction placed with a syringe and cannulas which are specially designed to preserve fat cell structure.
