I’m a 51 year old male. I’m very resistant to anesthesia, so I’m a little frightened of my upcoming facelift. How is the anesthesia method determined for each facelift patient?
We utilize intravenous anesthesia for 99% of our facelift patients. The only instance when that is not the case is the rare patient who does not have an adequate airway to support that type of anesthesia. The drugs used are easily increased or decreased to accommodate any degree of resistance.
