How much improvement can you expect in the cheek area from a facelift?
A lower facelift is intended to improve the jawline, marionette lines and neck. In certain patients however, the dissection is extended out to release the attachments thereby allowing the cheek to be elevated. This will provide a small degree of improvement for the cheek area. We believe that the cheek region ages primarily by volume loss and that true improvements in the cheek area are best achieved by either autologous fat transfer or fillers.
