Question:
I am female, 49 years old, from West Lake Hills area of Austin. I have fine wrinkles on my upper chest, but I am below average in weight so they are not fat related. I am interested in getting laser skin resurfacing in this area. Does this procedure hurt?
Answer:
Laser skin resurfacing of the chest is usually performed with a topical anesthetic. There is some discomfort associated with the laser procedure but it is usually well tolerated. A fractionated carbon dioxide laser is the most common treatment used and in most instances we will provide a little oral pain medication and sedation as well.
