Question:
I’ve had two facelifts over the past 15 years. I’m 65 now, and want another one done. I’ve led a very healthy lifestyle, but I know my days of surgery need to be over soon. I really want this last facelift, though. Is it safe for me to have a third facelift?
Answer:
It is safe to have a third facelift. However, often patients who have reached 65 and have had two previous facelifts will benefit more from volume replacement than from further lifting. As we age our face loses fat and bone mass. Replacement of this lost volume can have a tremendous anti-aging affect. This can be done as a stand-alone procedure or in conjuction with a facelift if that is indicated. Our website has before and after photos of these procedures as well as explanatory videos. I invite you to spend some time viewing these.
