How many cc’s of Botox is normally injected during one procedure?
That is highly variable and in fact it is not the volume of Botox which is important but rather a number of units. Botox comes as a white powder in the bottle and can be reconstituted with varying amounts of normal saline. We utilize the standard 2.5 cc yielding 4 units of Botox per 0.1 cc of saline. The starting dose for a glabella is 20 units and for the periocular lines 10 units per side. Forehead treatment is more variable depending on the size of the forehead.
