Question:
I am interested in a lower face lift; can you tell me a little more about it?
Answer:
A lower facelift is a procedure intended to treat the jawline, marionette lines and neck. There are variations of the procedure which are adjusted for each patient. In some patients we only treat the jawline and marionette lines and keep the incisions in the cheek area. In other patients we open the entire neck, contour the neck musculature and remove fat as well as lift from the preauricular area. A lift as based upon the deeper fascial layer called the SMAS. This layer has to be tightened by lifting the neck into the jowl area while yielding natural long-lasting results.
