Question:
My nose has always had a hook on the end that makes my profile imperfect. Will I have to have work done to my entire nose or can rhinoplasty be focused on one area of the nose?
Answer:
Rhinoplasty can be performed individually on any part of the nose including a “hooked” nasal tip without affecting the other parts of the nose. However, if a rhinoplasty is going to be performed the patient might want to consider addressing the other aspects of the nose. In my experience, once the distraction of one part of the nose is relieved patients will tend to focus on the other imperfections that may not have been such a bother before. A discussion concerning those changes can be discussed at the time of consultation.
