How is Sculptra different from other types of fillers?
Sculptra is preferred over other fillers in that the product itself does not create a filling effect. Sculptra is made of poly-L lactic acid. This product is diffusely distributed into the subcutaneous space and then over the course of 4-6 weeks your body builds collagen around the product as it is absorbed, creating volume. It usually takes 2-4 injection sessions to achieve the desired result which then lasts a minimum of 2 years and often up to 3-5 years.
