Question:
I want to have chin augmentation surgery but for some reason I worry about putting an implant into my body. What are the chin implants made of? Could I have fat grafting to reshape my chin instead of the implant?
Answer:
Chin implants are usually made of silicone. They may be coated in Gortex as well. The silicone in the implants is bound together so that the implant is flexible, but solid. There is no risk of the implant moving to another part of your body. Fat grafting can be used to augment a chin as well, however.
