Question:
All my friends do monthly microdermabrasion to keep a smooth appearance to their skin. I want to incorporate a quarterly maintenance into my regimen but want the most results possible without missing work. Also, I have freckles from too much sun. What can I do to fix this?
Answer:
Freckling from sun damage can be improved by utilizing BBL, broad band light, also referred to as photofacial or IPL. The BBL improves freckling by targeting the pigment, bringing it to the surface and allowing it to be expelled. BBL is also very effective in improving dermal thickness. A 10 year study showed that twice yearly BBL maintained the appearance of the skin at baseline even when the patient had aged 10 years. Combining BBL with the erbium whisper laser, will also provide a light epidermal peel, slightly deeper than microdermabrasion. We offer BBL ULTRA PEEL and have found the combination of the two treatments has refreshed the outer layers of the skin while also rejuvenating the dermis for nice results.
