I recently heard of a new injectable filler called Belotero. Can you explain what this is and what it’s best used for?
Belotero is a hyaluronic acid filler similar to Restylane and Juvederm. It has differing properties however that allow it to be injected where the other fillers could not be injected in the skin without causing a bluish hue referred to is a Tindell effect. Additionally, it can be injected very close to the surface with less risk of lumpiness. While Belotero can also be used for traditional filling such as lips, smile lines and teartroughs, its unique characteristic has the ability to be injected into very superficial fine lines.
