Question:
What is fat grafting and how safe is it? What part of the body is the fat normally removed from?
Answer:
As we age we lose volume in our face. This is a big part of why we look older as time passes. Fat grafting is a technique of using our body’s own fat cells which are harvested from another body area, usually the abdomen or lateral thigh area, to then inject into the areas of facial volume loss. The procedure is very safe and has a very long-lasting result when performed by the correct surgeon. I have performed many of these procedures and have written articles for medical journals and lectured at national meetings on the procedure. I encourage you to view our before and after gallery to determine if the procedure is right for you.
