Question:
I’m a gymnast and spend countless hours working out and perfecting my routine. What kind of lifestyle changes will I need to do after I get my nose job? When can I become physically active without risking the results?
Answer:
The recover from rhinoplasty involves two weeks of taking it easy. During the third week you can begin vigorous, but low-impact exercise as tolerated. Full activity can begin after 3 weeks, but not activity that could risk bumping the nose. It takes a full 6 weeks for the nose to be as strong as it was pre-surgery. After that you only risk affecting the result with significant trauma.
