For a facelift do you suggest ‘twilight sleep’? What are the benefits as opposed to using general anesthesia? I’m in Cedar Park and I’d love to get a facelift but I don’t like the idea of having general anesthesia.
We utilize intravenous sedation which is commonly referred to as twilight sleep for our facelift surgery. We also do limited incision facelifts with oral sedation and local anesthesia. The benefits of using intravenous sedation versus general anesthesia is that the recovery is less difficult for the patient as the agents wear off more readily and there is a lower chance of nausea and vomiting. There is also less occurance with a sore throat after the procedure.
