My cheeks have gotten very droopy with age and this also make my mouth look very down-turned. If I get a facelift, will it also turn my smile back up?
A facelift will improve the down-turned appearance of the mouth to some extent. The lower two thirds of the marionette line can be elevated with a facelift without pulling the mouth into an unnatural position. The upper one third of the marionette line and corner of the mouth however are better treated with injectable filler as attempting to lift this area with a facelift will cause an unnatural pulling of the mouth.
