Question:
I am a 61 year old woman from Round Rock. Will a lower blepharoplasty work well on someone of my age? I’m not sure if this type of procedure is better suited for younger patients who have better elasticity in their skin.
Answer:
61 years old is a very reasonable age for a lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Most individuals require either volume augmentation to the upper cheek and inferior orbital rim or a combination of fat removal from the lower eyelid and volume augmentation also called autogolous fat transfer. The skin itself can be treated with either chemical or laser resurfacing to improve elasticity.
